Pastor Jonathan Michael Everett, the seventh child of twelve was born May 13, 1985 in New Orleans, LA. He accepted Christ as his personal Savior at a young age.
While under the leadership of the late Pastor Emmitt B. Watson of Little St. John Baptist Church, Pastor Everett at 13 years of age accepted the call to ministry. On April 16, 2004, after years of study and preparation, under the leadership of Pastor Lawrence St’ Cyre of Providence Missionary Baptist Church, Pastor Jonathan Everett was ordained to preach the gospel of our lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
During his tenure in the state of Maryland, Pastor Everett was affiliated with Collective Banking Group of Maryland, St. Charles County Ministerial Alliance, Youth Ministers Alliance of DC and Vicinity, and the Southern Baptist Convention of Maryland & Delaware. Pastor Everett was appointed by the Southern Baptist Convention to develop Youth Leaders in various seminars around the United States. Pastor Everett has been afforded the opportunity of extensive travel to preach the word of God; throughout the United States, the Bahamas, Mexico, the Dominican Republic and Haiti.
Over 100 people joined the church in the first year of his pastorate. Rock of Ages Baptist Church is one the fastest growing churches in the city of New Orleans. He also serves as the director of Merge Community Development Corp. He sits on the first African American male mentor program for UNO. He’s the Executive Secretary for WNOMBEA. He’s the owner of Prestige Environment Management Services and founder of iMatter Leadership Institute.
Pastor Everett is a proud father. He is faithful to his church and their ministries. He still finds time to preach the word of God at various youth conferences and revivals. Pastor Everett was appointed the Youth Director aboard the One Love Gospel Cruise for two years. However, he’s dedicated to the work at Rock of Ages & Greater Philadelphia Baptist Church. Where on any given Sunday morning his congregation can be found eagerly anticipating his fiery sermon. Thousands has come to know the Lord because of this young man gift and obedience to the word of God. Pastor Everett recognizes that each and every time he is called to bring a word he is afforded another opportunity to reach a soul for the kingdom of God.
